NTPC’s floating solar installation spans over 75 acres of the Simhadri reservoir’s area. It will generate enough electricity to power 7,000 homes using more than a lakh solar PV modules.
The initiative will save 46,000 tonnes of CO2 and 1,364 million litres of water each year, enough to cover the needs of 6,700 homes for a whole year.
